Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the 1996 TV film Her Costly Affair. From there to starring in a small role in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. It was a difficult transition for Amy because she had transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors, so they usually play smaller, less important roles. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger roles beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on some more notable role. It was a huge film at the box office and Amy was finally able to get the recognition that she was seeking for more than 10 years. She went on doing some significant films like the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she portrayed the well-loved character of recurring.
