Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. Amy Smart was was raised in California, United States of America. She began the modeling profession in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in 1996's TV film Her Costly Affair. After a very difficult struggle, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" the film Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting because models were not considered as skilled actors and generally were offered less roles. But somehow Amy did not give up and stepped into bigger roles eventually starting with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast part in the leading role of The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she'd been seeking for over a decade. She continued with major films such as the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was the well-loved character of recurring.
