Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also produced films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. At the age of a girl she was raised in a Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mom was obsessed with films, and she instilled the love of movies in her daughter. Paula was a part of co-curricular school activities, and she particularly enjoyed drama. She played with her classmates as well as participated in school's productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided that acting was her chosen career. She was enrolled in The University of Southern California's summer camp, and loved it immensely. The program gave her a three month project to create documentary films for PBS. After completing the project, she started working as an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. Then, she switched to produce documentaries. While she was happy with her work, she still dreamed of becoming an actress. The path to acting began when she had an unimportant role with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Over the past few years she's appeared in numerous productions and films.
