Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl is a famous American actress, comedian, TV presenter and best-known for hosting the renowned daytime chat show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up at Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is the product of a very troubled background. Sheryl spent most of her youth caring for her sister Frankie, who had polio. When she was a child, she had a difficult relationship with her mom. Sheryl alleges that, at one point when her mother stabbed her father after he became close to her. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from university. However, her love for comedy was always there. She was chosen as the first ever female finalist of the Miller Lite Comedy Search, held in 1989. She began her TV career when she was regularly performing at The HBO Comedy Show Def Comedy Jam in 1992. She was the host of the TV show Oh Drama! in 2000. She has appeared as host on The Talk since 2011. Additionally, she's been in fictional roles on shows including Bulworth Nikki and Beauty Shop.
