Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born April 16, 1996. She was born in Miami Florida. It is daughter to Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is a half-Spanish and the other half is English. The father of her is Argentine who is of Scottish and English descent. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. There are five siblings, four from her father's prior marriage. The family lived in Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria region in London. According to Taylor-Joy, the relocation was difficult and she was unable to master English in the hopes that she could return to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands towards Hill House. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school productions. She left the high school aged 16 in order to concentrate on her acting career. Taylor-Joy was a young actress that knew she was going to become one. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a position as a model.
